Macca Im a little confused with the pressure on your heating system it should read bar not % if its a combi the normal cold presure reading should read between 1 and 1 1/2 bar as the heating system warms up the pressure rises towards 3 bar . If it needs topping up constantly then suspect a leak somewhere on the system. Hope this helps failing that seek out the nearest bar and have a drink
Cheers Thuncle!

Macca that makes more sense
the pressure is to low within the system and maybe could stop the boiler from firing up. SO you need to top up your system through using the filling loop and slowly fill the system watching the pressure guage untill it reads 1 to 1 1/2 bar (in the green area) then vent all radiators and top up the system if necessary .
If after a short period of time the pressure drops again you have a leak and need a heating engineer.
Hope this helps ?
Maybe this topic should be addressed elsewhere ? i dont know as im a newbie can someone put me right ?

We don't have a Central Heating Advice section yet, so here seems just fine to me.
